TAKE ME TO THE WATER | The Benefits of water in skincare and cosmetics.

Beautiful, thirst quenching, healing water, there is nothing like it in the world. No other substance satisfies our senses the way water does. We stare in wide-eyed wonder at a waterfall, and we are visually amazed; we listen to the sound of rushing waves, and our stress level starts to drop; we drink a cold glass of water on a hot summer day and instant refreshment.

Water satisfies on every level, in every way. So why shouldn’t you be getting the same benefits from your skin care?  Two years ago, the beauty industry predicted the next big thing would be water based products. Water is a common ingredient in most skin care, but when it is the main ingredient, it becomes more compatible with a larger variety of skin care products. It remains the most natural way to keep your skin hydrated. You can find water-based products in all categories. Here are some of my favorites.

L’OREAL Hydra Genius – A skin drink moisturizer with aloe water, keeps your skin glowing with 72hr hydration.

Stila Lush Lips Water Plumping Primer – water gives a cooling effect as it plumps your lips.

Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro – micro-droplet technology transforms from a watery serum to oil when applied to skin.

IT Cosmetics Feel the Moment has deep ocean water, caviar extract and argan oil.  This anti-aging formula leaves skin soft and supple.
