Walsh College presented its first annual Spring Soiree fundraiser on Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Over three hundred attendees raised over $97,000 for this amazing cause.  Spring was definitely in the air with the incredibly transformed Farmers Market where it took on a whole new look and feel with beautiful floral accents and wonderfully colored lanterns amid twinkling lights. The Spring Soiree is an event dedicated to students, the monies raised goes to assist many students attending Walsh College in continuing their journey to higher education by aiding with tuition costs. Guests enjoyed craft beer tastings from Brooks Brewing, Sherwood Brewery, and the Royal Oak Brewery; wine tasting from the private collections of Van Conway and Bob Cummings. The participating food trucks Hero or Villain, along with The Salt & Sugar Company, Chef in a Box, and Eskimo Jack’s served their most popular dishes.

“This event helps support Walsh College students and is a great opportunity to network with business professionals and to reconnect with alumni and former classmates,” said Andrea Richards, assistant director, Special Events & Donor Stewardship, Walsh College.
