Tis the time for giving; and as we move further into the Holiday season it’s becoming more evident that the spirit is kicking in. One of our favorite retailers Neiman Marcus has already begun spreading the charitable cheer! Neiman Marcus announced its launch of the “Love to Give” Collection. It began online October 19 and will be in stores beginning November 3, 2016. The collection features dozens of perfectly priced items for gift giving. Each Neiman Marcus store gives ten percent of the proceeds to benefit youth arts education in Neiman Marcus communities across the country.

In 2013, Neiman Marcus established and launched The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation focusing on youth arts education. For the first time in the history of Neiman Marcus, a campaign was initiated that would donate a percent of sales to a nonprofit. The Love To Give Collection (LTG) was born. Annually for the holidays, a specially curated grouping of products are selected.
By partnering with a local nonprofit organization, Neiman Marcus is able to impact the lives of youths through enriching arts experiences in the local community. The purpose of the Love to Give initiative is to inspire and engage the store associates and valued customers to help drive further impact.
The arts is a broad focus area that encompasses much of what Neiman Marcus supports in communities across the country. Based on the Neiman Marcus brand, heritage, and industry expertise, it is felt that Neiman Marcus will make the greatest impact by helping to bring enriching arts experiences to youth in the local communities.
An additional $50,000 from online sales will go to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation to support national youth arts programs. Research shows that students who receive an arts-infused curriculum tend to matriculate and graduate at higher rates, score higher on the SAT, and become more creative problem solvers and engaged civic leaders. The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation is dedicated to supporting the next generation of artists across the states.
“Neiman Marcus is delighted to continue our Love to Give collection for the third year,” said Russ Patrick, Neiman Marcus SVP, GMM The Man’s Store, Home and Gifts. “You can find exclusive and unexpected presents for everyone on your list. It is wonderful knowing you are giving back when selecting items from this collection.”

Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit is one of Southeast Michigan’s most highly regarded cultural treasures. Our critically acclaimed student-driven performances and national and international tours have brought worldwide attention to Detroit as a center for arts and culture while shining a spotlight on the area’s talented young people and creating new and diverse audiences for the performing arts. Founded by Rick Sperling in 1992 to address gaps in Metro Detroit arts education, Mosaic served 25 young artists in its inaugural year. Today, hundreds of youth from more than 50 Metro Detroit schools participate in Mosaic’s First, Second and Main Stage programs every year. These innovative programs provide expert training, mentoring and opportunity to the area’s young actors, singers, and stage technicians, while fostering a culture of high expectations, active participation and acceptance that serves them beyond the stage.
