CUSP – Contemporary and On Trend at Neiman Marcus
By Robere Lett – Publisher
Getting the word out has always been the most important part of branding. Making sure that the message is easily understood is what Neiman’s is all about! The CUSP event was indeed filled with great messages; Fashion, Food and Fun. Always one to bring this dynamic trio together, patrons were greeted with a sip of champagne or signature cocktail, with tasty treats for all. A resounding “I’ll take two of everything please” was the unspoken sentiment of the day, and of course, the fashion is never far behind.
I got the scoop from my two favorite sales associates/stylists Lana Kashat and Pam High, as both were eager to quell my curiosity.
The CUSP by Neiman Marcus boutiques began in 2006 exclusively inside the Neiman Marcus stores, created with the contemporary, trend-setting gal in mind. The stores are beautifully designed to capture that young spirited and hip consumer with an eye for quality – and a budget in mind. Trust me, age has nothing to do with it, there’s something here for everyone. The pieces are meticulously selected from several top-tier designer brands such as Alice + Olivia, Haute Hippie, Rag & Bones, Theory, DVF-Diane von Furstenberg & Vince.
Accessories – handbags, jewelry & shoes are also in the mix – after all, you can never go wrong with a floral print pair Louboutin pumps. Models Caroline and Marybeth look stunning in the many contemporary fashions. And of course we can’t leave without the fun… it was great seeing wonderful fashion icons such as Constantina and the beautiful model/artist Tombi Stewart (who I hear is launching her own fashion empire) in the crowd shopping and catching a vibe to the great beats of DJ Jared Sykes.
Some lucky person received a shopping Day of Luxury. The winner will be treated to a facial, fabulous lunch at the NM Café, and a personal style consultation paired with a $500.00 merchandise certificate. So on your next trip to the Somerset Collection, be sure to stop by NM and check out the CUSP boutique and the many Neiman Marcus amenities, and as always, tell them Haute is… Magazine sent you!
