Holiday Swingin’ at the Westin Book Cadillac
By Robere Lett, Publisher
Holiday parties are in full swing as the Christmas season is getting underway. With so many holiday parties at play, it is often hard to choose which one to attend. If you were lucky enough to be invited to last Thursday’s mega soiree at the Westin Book Cadillac – it was the place to be. A perfect evening collectively planned by Director of Sales, Scott Stinebaugh and Director of Group Sales, Yvette Campbell provided the right combination that got the party started on the right note with a bevy of signature cocktails appropriately named “Cotton Candy” martini’s. Created by the in-house staff, the lovely libations awaited each guest as they arrived. There to greet the fabulous crowd were the beautiful models provided by Gail & Rice, all dressed in white and looking like lovely snow angels. They made the perfect accents, as well as the iPad-style photo ops provided by Raymond Lousia (franchise owner) of TAPSNAP phototainment, who was on hand to snap fun and festive shots for the attendees.
This annual party is a labor of love, although strictly for friends and clients of the hotel, as a way of saying “thank you” for another great year. The theme of this year’s event “Winter Wonderland” was beautifully decorated with stark-white furnishings, crystal and glass food stations, and a center stage all decked out with incredible twinkling lights. The amazing Ben Sharkey trio kept the music festive with Ben’s signature crooning style, then amping up the playlist with hot current tunes that made everyone take to the dance floor. Glorious food abounded from all corners of the room, ranging from succulent seafood and sushi, to tender sliders; and all makes of amazing desserts. As the New Year draws ever near, be sure to visit this amazing hotel resplendent with so many amazing amenities; whether it’s a weekend getaway to pamper yourself and a loved one, or simply dinner at one of the great restaurants – you will never be disappointed.
