SAKS HAS A HEART: Featuring the Pamella Roland Collection
by Robere Lett, Publisher
It was a wall-to-wall affair at Saks 5th Avenue Somerset Collection on Wednesday afternoon, as several well-dressed ladies and a few fellas were treated to the exceptional runway fashion show hosted by design doyenne Pamella Roland. The evening-inspired presentation was the highlight of the afternoon’s benefit luncheon – all in support the great Florine & J. Peter Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center – in part with Beaumont Hospital’s Heart-to-Heart projects.
The Michigan State alum and wife of Daniel G. DeVos brought her Resort & Spring 2015 Collection of sensual, yet strong and elegantly designed evening pieces to life with a catwalk presentation featuring some Detroit’s top models. Gracing the runway were Tiffany Moore, Inti Marcus, Stephanie Miller-Kwiatkowski, Yulia Harney and Li Ying Williams to name a few, who brought the designs to life. The Pamella Roland Collection launched in 2002 to great reviews has grown over the years to become one of the country’s leading design houses, garnering Pamella the Gold Coast Award in 2003, and induction into the much coveted (CDFA) The Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2010. Finding her inspiration from the art world, but utilizing her skills from a business background has given Pamella the industry longevity that many aspire to.
Haute is salutes Pamella and the Florine & J. Peter Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center for their great work because after all, we all need a heart! You can view more of the Pamella Roland Collection at http://www.pamellaroland.com. Enjoy!
