Men’s Style Guide: Taking a great suit to new heights for fall
Robere Lett, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Haute is Magazine
I stopped by the Runway at the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit, one of my favorite places to shop, to speak with my good friend and style icon Mark England. I wanted to get his take on men’s suits and why most men buy a great suit, but that’s it. The pieces live and die together as one unit with only the occasional change of shirt and tie.
Mark: Dressing men really takes another dimension and mindset, because women are more accustomed to changing their fashion looks. Most men simply don’t think about diversifing their wardrobe and opening it up to more options, thus allowing them to expand their wardrobe and usually very inexpensively. Just by adding a great pair of blues jeans with your suit jacket can take your look from business to business casual, add a sweater underneath the suit and it has a whole new appeal, dress it up with great easy overcoat to keep the chill off or take it down with a great windbreaker then add an awesome scarf and sexy sunglasses. You get three looks for the price of one!
Thanks Mark for that great bit of fashion wisdom. Remember guys, change can be good.
